On the 29th of November Mairehau High School had a Market from 5 pm - 7 pm.
There was so many things to buy like plants and bracelets. There was also food and drink. There was also a stall that was selling Indian Food. They were selling pani puri and pakora. I tried one of the pani puri and it was like an explosion of flavours in my mouth. My favourite was the spray painting stall that was next to me. My project was cup designing. what you were meant to do was you design the cup yourself and then you take it home with the instructions on it. I was also selling my schliech animals next to me.
I got this idea from pinterest but I changed it up a bit so instead. I was thinking if I was to do the market again I would wrap the cups in cellophane and put a candy cane in the cup too. What do you guys think about this idea and what could I do to maybe make it better?. There was a lot of amazing crafts and ideas at the market. For my next market i'm thinking of doing henna. Does this sounds like good idea and what do you think would be a good price?.

Ohhhh, the henna hand is exquisite. I'd pay for that. Perhaps you could combine the ideas and put coloured henna patterns on parts of the cups?
ReplyDeleteKia ora Tracy,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your blogpost especially the part describing the explosion of flavours in your mouth. Indian food is one of my favourite takeaways, however, I have never had Pani Puri and Pakora. What is this?
I have seen a lot of people with Henna so it is possibly a good idea to do. I would like $4 or $5 would be the most I would spend.
I have always thought that Henna was Indian however just reading about it Henna is actually Arabic.
Why do you think your cups did not sell?

ReplyDeleteEven though I didn't buy a cup or an animal, I know some people that did and they were very happy with their animal purchase. I think your idea of a candy cane and cellophane around the cup is a great idea. Do you have any other ideas about how to better sell your cups?
I would spend $5 on henna for my hands - I love the design you have made in the photo attached.
